Located in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, Derry Construction Co., Inc. was established in 1945 as a driveway paving company, and has grown to become one of the leading Asphalt Paving Companies and Asphalt manufacturers in Western Pennsylvania. Third generation owner and operator, Daniel Slavek III, continues to thrive and grow the company into what it has become today. Building relationships and partnerships along the way are keys to our success. One partnership in particular with Cleveland Brothers is highlighted here.
We employ twenty five (25) full-time administrative, engineering, estimating, safety, and maintenance staff and during the construction season we employ on average fifty (50) Union craft-workers. Derry Construction Co., Inc. is signatory to several construction trade unions that service the Western Pennsylvania market.
We own and operate a trucking fleet of 15 tri-axles, servicing both our needs and our client customer base as well.
What separates Derry Construction Co., Inc. from our competitors is our experienced workforce, from the administrative staff, to the field supervisors and crews, the asphalt plant personal, and our maintenance staff, our state-of-the-art fleet of equipment, and the fact that we own and operate our own asphalt plants.
Our staff have many years of experience in both the fields of asphalt paving and the production of the mix.
Working closely with project owners, inspection staff, project engineers, and the general contractors we deliver a high quality product in a responsive and timely manner.

As the Owner/Operator of two (2) Asphalt Plants located in both Delmont and Torrance, Westmoreland County, we are a third generation family owned company who work closely with our clients to complete projects within budget and on-time with high quality performance.
Commercial Paving
In addition to wholesale asphalt supply, we specialize in commercial paving which includes, but is not limited to, Heavy/Highway Construction, Asphalt Paving/Stone Sub-base, Drainage Construction, Excavation, Asphalt Material Supply and Trucking
